Hi!  I'm Mel and this is my world!  And those are my Saturday Night Group friends.

In the beginning..... there was a group of friends who got together (and still do) every Saturday night for food, fun and fascinating conversation. During many a heated discussion someone would say "Well, Mel, when you run the world, things will be more fair and better organized. "Til then ...." Finally my friend David suggested creating Mel's World. Research showed MelsWorld.org was available, we registered it, he put the site up, I've begun creating the content . and hope you will say "This is good!"

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safe in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming ... "WOW ... What a ride!!!!

The man or woman worth your tears is the one who won't make you cry.

A true friend is someone who reaches for your hand and touches your heart.

To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.

The people who really matter, don't mind ... and the people who mind, don't really matter.

Don't waste your time on a man/woman who isn't willing to waste their time on you.

Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one, so that when we finally meet the right person, we will know  how to be grateful.

Make yourself a better person and know who you are before you try and know someone else and expect them to know you.

Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll still land among the stars.

Imagine you are a puzzle piece. If you get rid of those pieces of your life you don't like, until you change yourself, the only new pieces that will fit back into your life are those that are exactly like the ones you just got rid of. (okay, I DID write this one!)
